Randall Coleman is currently in his 39th year of teaching and his 14th year at the University of Alabama where he serves as Professor of Music and Associate Director of Bands. Professor Coleman conducts the Alabama Symphonic Band and teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses in conducting and wind band literature. He is also the Conductor and Music Director of the Alabama Winds, an all-adult community band based in Birmingham. Prior to his arrival at the University of Alabama, Professor Coleman worked as a high school band director in the state of Georgia for 25 years and served the Georgia Music Educators' Association as President, 1st Vice President and Band Division Chair. He is currently serving the National Band Association as 1st Vice-President/President-Elect.
