Susan Fitzsimmons has been a tour consultant in the student travel industry for 25 years. Having grown up in Nashville, TN, she was always interested in the hospitality industry. Upon graduating from The University of Memphis, she worked for a year in the meeting and planning industry before changing to the student travel industry. Shortly after starting in the student travel field, she completed the certification for a Certified Tour Professional.
The majority of the trips that she has planned have been for marching bands, choirs and orchestras from Tennessee, Alabama and surrounding Southeastern states. These groups traveled to Orlando, New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Atlanta, St. Louis and other cities upon request. On these trips, the students had the opportunity to perform, see others perform, and visit the area's main attractions.
Susan is a firm believer that there is no better way to learn than to see things with your own eyes. The travel experience brings the classroom experience to life!

Kaleidoscope Adventures is thrilled to announce that it is the FIRST U.S. tour operator to receive the World Travel & Tourism Council Safe Travels stamp. This stamp certifies that KA meets or exceeds international travel standards for health and hygiene.
The WTTC created the Safe Travels stamp to reassure travelers in the wake of the pandemic. It easily identifies destinations and travel-related businesses that have protocols in place for disinfection, PPE, physical distancing, roles for technology (like contactless payment or digital menus), and increased staff training.
Kaleidoscope Adventures received its Safe Travels Stamp following implementation of rigorous new safety procedures in its operations, including its #KASAFE campaign. Click here to watch the video
